Has served as Fulbright Professor at Tel Aviv University and University of Salzburg, Austria and the John Adams Professor of American History at the U. Of Amsterdam. Also taught with EP Thompson at Centre for Social History, U. Of Warwick. Author of numerous books and essays in US labor history, including We Shall Be All: A History of the Industrial Workers of the World and Industrialism and the American Worker, 1865-1920.
